Accounting Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with our Corporate Controller and function as a senior member of the accounting team.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment. You will be supervising the monthly close process, external accounting teams, AR, and AP. We are looking for teammates who are systems-oriented, while maintaining a high level of GAAP and technical expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant company financial accounting and reporting experience
  • Prior experience in a leadership (team lead or management) role is preferred
  • 2- 3 years of SaaS experience (preferred)
  • NetSuite experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with integrating companies into ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develop solutions and implement successful and maintainable process changes that improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Must be proactive and able to excel in a fast-paced rapidly scaling environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external parties
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ideally, with NetSuite
  • Ability to manage priorities while working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Positive self-starter, organized, strong work principles with high level of ethics and integrity
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills plus keen attention to detail

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all revenue recognition operations and accounting functions, including month-end, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with GAAP and best practice internal controls.
  • Manage all aspects of the General Ledger
  • Support implementation of revenue recognition financial system and automation of system workflows for general ledger transactions.
  • Evaluate processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Make recommendations to policy or procedure changes as needed.
  • Drive system enhancements and improvements
  • Assist with all audit requests as assigned.
  • Lead, train & develop accounting staff
  • Other duties as assigned.
