DaySmart has a career opportunity for an Implementation Consultant who will support our leading veterinary practice management software (PMS) solution currently serving over 1,500 veterinary practices worldwide. The product is delivered through a sophisticated but simple to use cloud-based solution that offers a broad spectrum of innovation and integrations that help coordinate and improve the care and health of the world’s animals.

As an Implementation Consultant, you will work closely with new customers, managing and contributing to all aspects of the project, end-to-end.  These new customers are typically migrating from an existing veterinary practice management software, and the first impression that you create through the process will be key to keeping them as happy long-term clients. Your primary goal is to help ensure that these customers have a successful onboarding and smooth transition.  You will be part of the Professional Services team, working in conjunction with the Sales, Customer Success, and Data Services teams.


  • Conduct data backups of customer’s current software
  • Work with customer to obtain requirements and determine goals
  • Set appropriate expectations with the customer
  • Create a roadmap and schedule key events for the migration process
  • Interface with Data Processing Team to deliver customer requirements
  • Help customers understand and set up account configurations
  • Conduct inventory training with customer project managers
  • Conduct workflow training with veterinary clinic staff
  • Load data into customer’s account using Unix command line tools
  • Make adjustments and edits to data as necessary, through both manual processes and scripting processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in customer support, account management, or sales for a software company
  • 3+ years of experience conducting presentations, trainings, or demos
  • 3+ years of experience using Excel
  • 3+ years of experience working with CRM tools
  • 3+ years of experience working with file managers in Windows and Mac OS
  • 2+ years of experience with executing SQL scripts
  • 1+ years of experience working with command line tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a Practice Management Software company
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management
  • Experience using Google suite of Applications
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience writing and editing SQL scripts
  • Experience or knowledge in Veterinary Medicine, Healthcare, or Laboratory work
